One of the largest draws for out-of-towners is Mt. Hood Meadows' world-class terrain park system. The United States Olympic Snowboard team chose the Meadows for their annual spring training trip in 2007 for a reason-- with eight different parks and pipes to play in, the freestyle fanatic will always have something to jump off!
For the less aggressive visitor, Mt. Hood Meadows has unbeatable beginner and intermediate terrain and exceptional ski school facilities, as well as exciting activities for non-skiers. 15 km. of groomed and set-track Nordic skiing awaits, with lessons offered in both skating and striding. Snowshoeing is possible on numerous hiking trails in the surrounding area, though not permitted within the Nordic trail system.
Two snow tube parks - one pint-sized and one slightly more advanced - feature a whole new way to get down the mountain. Everything you need is there for an afternoon of smiles!
